The image is called “The Face of Ahping” which is the Guardian of All Life.  I got the image from an obscure photograph of a Punan Dyak headdress.  The Punans live in the heart of inner Borneo.  The Punan Dyaks are called the Dream Wanderers (because they find each other in the dream time and then are able to connect up in the immense jungle and know where their family and friends are).  They are very mystical and quite amazing.  They are surrounded by fierce headhunter cannibal tribes but none of those folks would kill a Punan because Punans are such gentle, fey people and it would be bad luck to kill one of them.  Credit to me would be very nice!  A link to my website PatPreble.com would be even cooler.  (It’s an art site)
